Jul 5, 2018 - Inspiron N5110 Drivers, Downloads and Manuals. At the link posted above, the SMBus driver would be part of the Intel HM67 Express chipset. In Device Manager I've got the yellow exclamation point next to 'SM Bus Controller'. 'The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.' Yes, you have downloaded the right drivers from the Dell website. And the SM BUS Controllers are a part of Chipset Drivers. I recently did a fresh install of Windows XP on a Dell Latitude e6410 laptop. I installed all the drivers from Dell's website, but could not find the drivers for 'SM Bus Controller'. Turns out that Dell's driver installation utility is broken, so you must manually install the drivers. This will work on the e6410 as well as the e5510, e4310 & e6510. Hey Guys, i am trying to find the driver for the sm bus controller i have downloaded and tried the chipset installed it but its still there.
